Trinet offers additional services that are subject to a charge.
Note: if you only need a hostname for your computer, you can get one for free using a dynamic DNS service (eg. DynDNS). You can get an MX record too. The hostname you receive is transferable, allowing you to continue using it even outside the AYY network.
1. DHCP reservation with yourhostname.kyla.fi (5 euro per month)
This includes:
- 1 DHCP reservation
- 1 yourhostname.kyla.fi DNS record, including an IPv6 record (additional names cost 1 euro per month per name)
- An MX record for email (if needed)
This means that you are guaranteed to have the same dedicated address all the time. If you move to another building within the Trinet network, your IP address will change, but your hostname will remain the same.
